Congratulations Hope & Believe Recovery Graduates
News
Urban Ministries of Durham's semi-annual Hope & Believe Substance Abuse Recovery Program Graduation Ceremony was held on May 18th in the Community Cafe.
Friends, family, staff, board members and other distinguished guests celebrated this important milestone as eighteen graduates received certificates marking the successful completion of the program. This was the largest graduating class since the program began in 2001.

In his keynote address, Bishop Leroy Mckenzie encouraged the graduates to go forward with strength and to set an example for others struggling with addiction. Dr. Mckenzie is the senior pastor of Faith Assembly Christian Center in Durham as well as a Chaplain at Polk Correctional Institute.

Following the ceremony, graduates and guests enjoyed refreshments during a reception in the graduates' honor.
