Since 1973, the Volunteer Center of Durham has provided the opportunity for area non-profits and public agencies to highlight volunteers for outstanding service through the Key Volunteer Recognition Program. Agencies nominate individuals or groups, and a panel of judges from the community selects Volunteers of the Year in the following categories: Senior, Adult, Youth, Group, Leader, and Lifetime Achievement.
