UMD Nominates Greg White for 2011 Key Volunteer of the Year

News

Referred to as a “Super Volunteer” at UMD, Greg arrives at 6:30AM to help start breakfast in the Community Café and then stays to work in the Food Pantry and Clothing Closet until 3:30PM. He helps cook, stock shelves, bag groceries for clients, acclimates new volunteers and so much more.

He has become an integral part of the workings of the organization, with an amazing attendance record and work ethic. Greg is truly an inspiration to all who meet him.

We truly appreciate all that Greg does to keep things running smoothly!

Since 1973, the Volunteer Center of Durham has provided the opportunity for area non-profits and public agencies to highlight volunteers for outstanding service through the Key Volunteer Recognition Program.  Agencies nominate individuals or groups, and a panel of judges from the community selects Volunteers of the Year in the following categories: Senior, Adult, Youth, Group, Leader, and Lifetime Achievement.
