FOOD LION

Lion Shop & Share is an easy, convenient way to make a donation. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to UMD.

EMPTY BOWLS

Attend the 2nd annual Empty Bowls annual fundraising event and combat hunger. Join our local celebrity judges as they declare “The Best Soup in Durham” from gourmet selections provided by top Durham restaurants. Fresh-baked bread and desserts from local supporters and community partners round out the meal. Area artists create one-of-a-kind, keepsake pottery bowls. For $30, choose a bowl and enjoy the best soup Durham has to offer (discounts are available for family and meal-only options). Keep the bowl as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. Join us at the Durham Armory on Thursday, March 6th, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

JANI-KING

Graduates of UMD’s recovery programs work in a unique commercial cleaning business. Workers are recruited based upon peer review and their personal accountability history in the recovery programs.
